Say Hello to Actual’s New VP Katie Seifert

Actual Team

Many of our clients dedicate significant resources and budget dollars to making advancements across a number of important societal issues such as improving sustainability, diversity and inclusion, gender equality, environmental conservation and economic development. And because our clients’ priorities are our priorities, we have been steadily expanding our purpose-led communications marketing communications practice. That’s why I’m so pleased to welcome Katie Pagliara Seifert to the team as our new Vice President.

Katie has the requisite experience and expertise to direct the purpose-led initiatives and ESG (environmental, social, governance) communications strategies for our clients in the financial services, manufacturing and supply chain, and mining and metals industries.

For more than 15 years, Katie has led marketing, PR and integrated communications programs for B2B and B2C technology companies. Prior to joining Actual, she was Vice President at Coyne PR, where she conceived and directed communications strategies for companies including Casio, IMAX, the National Hardware Show, NY NOW, Midea America. She also drove (pun intended) the technology media strategy for the redevelopment of the Daytona International Speedway.

Katie has also worked on the client side, including at Samsung Electronics America where she led media relations campaigns for a wide range of technology products including home appliances, digital cameras, televisions and home entertainment systems.

The addition of Katie to our growing team of experience, expert marcom professionals epitomizes our thoughtful, and unusual, approach to expanding the portfolio of consultative work we perform for clients around Purpose, ESG and Fintech. We are committed to avoiding the trap that ensnares and ruins so many client-agency relationships.

Ultimately, when PR agencies do business presentations they always roll out the big guns — senior level executives with years of experience and impressive credentials. But after winning the business, they staff their account teams with junior-level personnel whose LinkedIn profiles don’t require any page scrolling. As a result, it’s no wonder the average length of an agency-client relationship keeps shrinking: from just over seven years in the 1980s to less than three years today.

In short, that’s not how we do business at Actual Agency. Senior executives like Katie don’t supervise our clients’ account teams – they are a lead our clients’ account teams day-in and day-out.

Welcome aboard Katie!
